- When HR data feeds the directory, every account change starts from a trusted record.
- Clear approval tiers let routine changes move quickly, while sensitive ones still get a second look.
- Automation holds up over the long run when directory data is clean and every workflow has an owner.
According to the 2021 Census, French is the first official language of more than 7.8 million Canadians, or 21.4% of the population. For organizations across Canada that serve customers in Quebec and New Brunswick, or run teams spread over several provinces, business applications need to support both official languages and six time zones while connecting securely to partners such as insurers, payment providers and payroll services.
Zoho Creator meets these requirements through app localization, the Zoho Canada data centre and Integration Flows, its automation layer built on Zoho Flow. A recent Zoho Flow release expanded interface languages to 50, including French (Canada), standardized the time zone list and added JWT authentication for outgoing webhooks. Each capability is configured in a different part of the platform, so knowing where it lives is the first step to setting it up well.
How Zoho Creator Is Organized
Zoho Creator offers four solution types. Applications hold your forms, reports, pages, Deluge scripts, Blueprints and portals. BI & Analytics covers reporting, Integration Flows connect Creator with other systems and run on the Zoho Flow engine, and RPA Flows automate work in applications without an API.
The language, time zone and webhook updates were released for Zoho Flow in September 2025, so they apply to Integration Flows, while your applications keep their own localization and time settings.
| Capability | Where it is configured | Business Benefit |
|---|---|---|
| App localization | Zoho Creator applications | Consistent experience for English- and French-speaking employees |
| 50 interface languages, including French (Canada) | Zoho Flow and Integration Flows | Teams in Quebec build and manage automations in Canadian French |
| 323 standard time zones | Zoho Flow and Integration Flows | Less manual coordination between branches on schedules |
| JWT authentication for outgoing webhooks | Send webhook action in flows | Secure communication with compatible external APIs |
| Canadian data residency | Your Zoho account (zohocloud.ca) | Data hosted in Zoho’s Toronto and Montreal facilities |
Building Bilingual Apps with Zoho Creator Localization
Language in Creator works on two layers. The interface layer covers the platform’s own menus and system screens. The content layer covers what you build, such as form fields, buttons, report columns and drop-down choices. With Creator’s localization feature, you add a French translation for these items, then choose how users see it: in one fixed language, in their browser language, in their Zoho account language or in a language they pick themselves. Translations appear only for languages you have added to the app. Data that users type in, such as notes or customer names, stays as entered.
Both language groups share one set of records, reports and approvals, and a new field added to a form reaches French- and English-speaking users at the same moment, and reporting stays consistent across the country. For the people who build apps, the Creator admin dashboard and edit mode are available in 17 languages, and they follow each builder’s browser language.
French (Canada) in Zoho Flow and Integration Flows
Zoho Flow previously offered 11 interface languages and now offers 50. Alongside French (Canada), French and English (UK and US), the list includes many languages spoken across Canadian workplaces, such as Punjabi, Hindi, Tamil, Urdu, Filipino, Arabic, Chinese and Ukrainian. An operations lead in Montreal can now design, test and monitor flows with every menu and message in Canadian French.
Managing Canada’s Six Time Zones
Canada has six time zones, from Pacific in the west to Newfoundland in the east. Newfoundland runs half an hour ahead of Atlantic time, at UTC−3:30. Most of Saskatchewan doesn’t change its clocks for daylight saving time, so it stays on Central Standard Time all year. Zoho Flow now uses the same list of 323 time zones as Zoho accounts. Users who already picked a zone that isn’t on this list will still see it, so existing flows keep working.
Set a time zone on each scheduled flow, based on the branch it serves. For example, if your Halifax and Vancouver teams both need a job list at 7:00 a.m., create two schedules: one on Atlantic time and one on Pacific time. Each team then gets its list at the start of its own workday. Use the same time zone settings in your Creator apps, so dates and reminders show the correct local time for every branch.
One App for Every Province, in Both Official Languages
Tell us where your teams are, which languages they work in and which partners you connect with. We will show you how a single Zoho Creator app can serve every branch in French and English, on local time, with secure integrations built in.

A JSON Web Token (JWT) is a compact, digitally signed token that travels with a request. It tells the receiving system who sent the request, who it is intended for and when it expires, and the signature confirms that nothing was changed along the way. Many partners, including payment processors, insurers, payroll services and API gateways, accept only requests signed in this way.
Outgoing webhooks in Zoho Flow now support JWT authentication. A record created or updated in a Creator application can start an Integration Flow, and the send webhook action delivers a signed request to the partner. Token logic once written in Deluge becomes a configured step that is simpler to review and maintain. Before going live, confirm the token details each partner expects and test against their sandbox.
Recent Zoho Creator Enhancements for Canadian Operations
Several 2026 Creator releases complement a Canadian setup. Integration fields can now filter records by fixed or form-based criteria, with QuickBooks and Salesforce supported, and since October 2026 one integration field can filter another. For the many teams that run QuickBooks alongside Creator, a form can now show only the customers or vendors that match the selection a user has already made.
Databridge, released in May 2026, lets Creator apps read and update data in databases on your own servers, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, SAP HANA and Actian Zen, through an outbound agent. Microsoft 365 became an outgoing email channel in October 2026, and the new App admin role lets a branch lead manage only the apps assigned to them. Zoho’s feature availability table currently lists only cloud functions and portal SMS-based OTP login as unavailable on the Canada data centre. Each feature above is covered in detail in Zoho’s Creator release notes.
Canadian Data Residency on the Zoho Canada Data Centre
Zoho opened two data centres in Canada in November 2023, one in Toronto and one in Montreal. Creator accounts hosted there use the zohocloud.ca domain. For organizations under PIPEDA, or under Quebec’s private-sector privacy law as updated by Law 25, this keeps the data itself in Canada. Hosting location is one part of compliance. How you collect, access, secure and retain personal information, along with your own policies and responsibilities, matters just as much.
Quebec also has rules on language. The Charter of the French Language, updated by Bill 96, expects businesses to serve customers and employees in French. A Creator app with French translations, French menus and clear user permissions helps you meet these expectations. It works best as part of your overall compliance practices, and your legal adviser can confirm which rules apply to you.
Example: A Bilingual Field Service Operation
Consider an HVAC and plumbing company with its head office in Toronto and branches in Montreal, Halifax and Vancouver, running its field service operations on a single Creator application:
- Montreal dispatchers and technicians work in French through app localization, while the other branches use English, all on the same records.
- Four scheduled Integration Flows send each branch its morning job list on local time.
- When a technician closes a job, a flow sends a JWT-signed update to the home warranty provider.
- Customer and job data stays on the Canada data centre, and each branch lead manages their own apps as an App admin.
Configuration Checklist for Canadian Teams
A short working session with branch managers and app owners usually settles the essentials:
- Which users prefer French (Canada) or another interface language, and which labels and messages still need translation?
- Which scheduled flows and app settings depend on time, and which branch does each one serve?
- Which partners require JWT, and what token details, sandbox endpoints and data fields do they expect?
- Is your account on the Canada data centre, and is each planned feature available there?
- Which Deluge functions handle work that a configured flow step can now take over?

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Zoho Creator support French (Canada)?
Yes, on two levels. Zoho Flow, which powers Integration Flows in Creator, offers French (Canada) among its 50 interface languages. Within your Creator applications, localization lets you translate labels, messages and pages so French-speaking users can work entirely in French.
Can Zoho Creator data be stored in Canada?
Yes. Zoho Canada operates data centres in Toronto and Montreal, and Creator accounts on the Canada data centre use the zohocloud.ca domain.
What is the difference between Zoho Creator and Zoho Flow?
Zoho Creator is a low-code platform for building business applications. Zoho Flow is an integration platform, and it powers the Integration Flows solution inside Creator, which connects your apps with other systems.
Can Creator apps filter QuickBooks records?
Yes. Integration fields can filter QuickBooks and Salesforce records using fixed values or values from the current form.
Can Xponential build one bilingual Creator app for Quebec and the rest of Canada?
Yes. We plan French and English together from discovery, set up localization for every label and page, and test forms, reports and portals with users from each language group before launch.
Is Xponential Digital a Zoho partner in Canada for existing Creator users?
Yes. As a Zoho Creator implementation partner, we review existing apps, move hand-built integrations into Integration Flows and refine language and time settings, whoever built the original application.
