Zia Agents are AI agents that carry out tasks inside Zoho applications. They can run autonomously, on a button click, through rule-based automation or within customer conversations. An agent can be provisioned as a digital employee that follows the organization's existing user permissions, and administrators can audit its behavior and performance.
Zia Agent Studio is Zoho's prompt-based builder for creating custom AI agents, with a low-code option. At launch, it offered ready-made access to more than 700 actions across Zoho products, and agents can be given tools, a knowledge base, and a choice of AI model.
Zoho MCP is Zoho's implementation of the Model Context Protocol. It lets a business create MCP servers that expose selected tools, actions and context from Zoho apps to external AI clients, regardless of which language model they use. Agents act under user-level permissions, and access is authorized through OAuth.
Yes. Through Zoho MCP, a business creates an MCP server, selects the Zoho tools and actions to expose, and connects the server URL to an MCP-compatible AI client such as ChatGPT or Claude. The AI client can act only within the permissions of the user who authorized the connection.
Zia LLM is Zoho's proprietary large language model, built in-house on NVIDIA's AI-accelerated computing platform. It launched as three models of 1.3 billion, 2.6 billion, and 7 billion parameters, each matched to different tasks, and is deployed across Zoho data centers in the US, India, and Europe.
